About Zell
A beautiful location, Zell-Mosel is in the midst of Germany's wonderful Rhineland which in turn, is central between the North Sea and the Alps. From Zell, you can travel in every direction.
Friendly and vibrant, Zell-Mosel has Celtic roots and has been a bustling winemaker town since Roman times.
Zell straddles the magical Mosel River midway between Trier and Koblenz, where the Mosel joins the Rhine.
Cruise ships ply the Mosel and you can look down at them from your apartment, give them a smile and wave - you will not be envious!!

About the house
The apartment house is one of the prettiest on Zell's waterfront and our units are modern, fully furnished and very pleasant to stay in. They are of 3+ to 4 star standard.
Since 2010 our guests have been enjoying the ambience of Zell, the Mosel River and the many attractions within 1 and 2 days reach, not to mention the wonderful local food and wines. Many guests are returnees or recommended by past guests.
Whether you are looking for a short-stay Mosel River holiday or a long-stay base to explore Rhineland - or beyond - you'll be delighted with the town of Zell and our apartments.
About us
We're Ralph and Olga Jackson, residing between Noosaville on Australia's Sunshine Coast with some of the year in Zell.
In Zell, local couple Gunter and Analiza have looked after the property brilliantly since 2019. Gunter is from a Mosel wine growing family. Guests from 2011 to 2019 will remember the ever effervescent Elsbeth who sadly lost a battle with cancer.
Ralph's career has been in adventure tourism - a keen traveller, hiker, cycle-tourer and chess player. Olga is an accountant and also loves to travel, hike and ride.
Our other activities include Outbike cycle events in Australia.
With My Europe Base, we could see potential in offering attractive affordable well-equipped accommodation in a beautiful, regional location with convenience to travel away from and handy to a key low-cost air hub.

Gunter and Analiza, our house managers...
In December 2019 we welcomed Gunter and Analiza to the role of house managers.
They live nearby and are fluent in German. With English, Analiza is fluent and Gunter is pretty good. Gunter has lived in Zell all his life and is semi-retired from the wine business. Analiza is a resident of 35 years and works casually in hospitality.
Remembering Elsbeth...
In 2009 we discovered Zell-Mosel and the delightful apartment house about to come on to the market. It's owner was a delightful, effervescent and 'busy-bee' of a lady named Elsbeth, clearly a town identity. In a mutually neat relationship, Elsbeth agreed to stay on, living on site, attending to guests and looking after the house she loved.
Together we attracted and looked after a wonderful mix of short and long stay guests, including many Australians among the latter.
Sadly in September 2019 Elsbeth lost her battle with cancer.
